Chord Transitions

C to D

How to transition from a C chord to a D chord.

The C → D transition is the same IV → V move in the key of G or any key where you're changing chords up one step.

Chord shapes

Play the Cadd9 chord in a G type shape, and transition to D played in a D shape. Cadd9 is sometimes preferred over the traditional C shape to make the transition to D easier.
