Chord Transitions
E to F#m
How to transition from an E chord to an F#m chord.
The E → F#m transition is the same V → vi move in the key of B or any key where you're playing E shapes.
Chord shapes
Play the E chord in a E shape, and transition to F#m or F#m7 played in a non-barre chord minor shape. I prefer the F#m7(sus4) chord as it includes the open B and e string, but make sure you play this chord in a key that naturally includes those notes like E or B major.
